Exactly! I love …
Exactly! I love how Vern gives no support to the reform of our system if it’s done With our President, but he say we need to fix this “broken” health care system.
Thank you Vern for …
Thank you Vern for not shaming us with health care reform. It is not right and I know it. We are positive and so are you,Vern I can’t afford health care myself, but if I could I would vote for it. Thanks, Vern!
Thank you Vern for …
Thank you Vern for representing “we the people who agree with you” and ignoring those pesky slouching people. You stand tall and talk about stuff too Vern in your speech, thank you.
I love that someone …
I love that someone has marked a thumbs down on your comment. I agree with you, and wonder what someone disagrees with.
Fox news misses the …
Fox news misses the boat again. What is wrong with them, not reporting on the “Open letter from past heads of state of Eastern Europe”? I mean, I didn’t even know that there was a Head of State of Eastern Europe. God bless America!
What?
What?
People today don’t …
People today don’t even know the Constitution…Very Sad! People died for this! When it was written, many of the writers lost everything including their lives. People came here for those Freedoms! That’s why this country was made the way it is/was. Many Men and Woman DIED to keep us Safe and have Those rights remain! Thank you to Our Men and Women in Service!!!!!!
You are totally …
You are totally wrong and part of the problem. You are giving the Government the right to rule your life & tell you what you can or can not do. You say choice? Yes choice as long as you are productive. And…Yes, the admin. Is trying to push this bill “Too” fast…duh? why would that be? As far as pork, it seems that you have accepted the fact that it’s okay and you don’t fight it? Um,,, another duh?!!!!!! Hello??!!!!!!!
You are Very Right! …
You are Very Right! The Gov. Has NO right to decide how “We the people” choose to manage our lives In ANY way!
thank you for your …
thank you for your comments, now if only someone listened!
congressmen and …
congressmen and senators don’t even read them
They certainly …
They certainly don’t give you much time. This program is being fraudulently sold by Obama and must be stopped Please do all in your power to put this on hold until some plan that makes sense might be considered. —sndollar2
Clearly, you miss …
Clearly, you miss the point. The federal government has no business in the payment for healthcare. If they want to secure availability, fine. There are enough managed care companies to provide competition. The federal government has no business in private industry. If you want socialism, there are nations that will accept your way of thinking. Please petition your state government for this type of program. By the way, Vern seems VERY well versed as to what this bill implies…
Again, you have not …
Again, you have not done your research. Per Obama’s original plans, there is choice of coverage, doctors chosen, etc. Now what the house & senate do to bastardize the plan, you can be sure both parties will do just that, so we need to pay attention, since its been the norm of the legislature to add pork, unrelated legislation attached, etc to a bill. Vern made the comment that this overhaul is being done to fast, hello most of our politicians don’t even read a bill, just vote as party wants..

Janer–It’s a …
Janer–It’s a little unfair to be lumped into a group that I don’t associate myself with. My point is that of choice. It is not the job of the federal government to the payment of healthcare for it’s citizens. If the issue is availability, I’m all for it. As a self-employed individual, and in general, I avail myself to all legislation that pertains to me in particular, as is the case here. If we continue to look to government for social solutions, let’s declare the Constitution null and void!
Excellent. I …
Excellent. I attended the town hall meeting and was very impressed.
Did you see the open letter to Obama yesterday from past heads of state of Eastern Europe? Unprecedented!!! Not reported by American media. Please publicize it.
Very good. We need …
Very good. We need to protect small business so they can create jobs. Obama cannot be allowed to rush the vote through without giving time for the voters to familiarisr themselves with the content of the bill. I much appreciate your use of modern technology in keeping in touch with your constituents. I wish other republicans would adopt this system. The use of the internet was so instrumental in winning the election for Obama.
I
Rep. Buchanan, you …
Rep. Buchanan, you are right on in looking to an alternative to the rush to push this bill through. Anytime business is levied, that expense must be added to the cost of the product/service, hence, we all will be footing the bill. My question is what type of health care plan is enjoyed by our public officials?
Thank you for the excellent job you are doing in representing us.
Valerie Cooper
I agree with …
I agree with Congressman Buchanan. Further, if there is one example over the last 50 years where government took over something and made it better and less expensive, I am unaware of it. At the very least, this is not something to rush through.

Well, you are very …
Well, you are very lucky sahhan to be healthy. Unfortunately, many are not that lucky. I hate to tell you this, but there will come a time in your life when your health is no longer great, where will you be then? As usual, you, & many like you, do not do your homework. You just listen to the pundits of Faux News, Limbaugh, & the republican party to tell you how to think. Do you EVER read any of the bills put forth in the House & the Senate? I doubt it!
Vern, it is quite …
Vern, it is quite obvious who you represent, the wealthy people who are going to have their taxes raised to pay for a healthcare plan. Your “town hall meetings” aren’t set for times when the working person can attend.
Small business can’t afford to pay for employee insurance, disabled people can’t afford/get healthcare insurance, large companies keep increasing the cost of employee insurance, and the AMA limits the # of medical students. AMERICA NEEDS a healthcare plan FOR ITS CITIZENS!
Thank you so much …
Thank you so much Vern!!! When we vote for our politicians it is with the hopes they speak for us, we the people. You have done this consistently and I am proud to vote for you each time. Thank you Vern for standing tall and taking the high road instead of caving in to the pressure I am sure you must get from the left. Well said in your speech too Vern, thank you.
Vern, small men …
Vern, small men like you think small. Big men like Obama think big. up your ears listen carefully and try not to say anything more that makes you look like a fool
Thank you! There …
Thank you! There are too few politicians standing up against this health care sham. I am not a business owner but I can tell a rotten deal when I see one! Thank you Mr. Buchanan for listening to the public and taking a positive stand on this issue.
